Hidden Processes on Task Manger

Hidden Processes on Task Manger

Microsoft Windows contains a utility with a user can see what running in the background. This is important because it uses system memory with important or useless processes, and if it builds up the memory we go slower. The Task Manger hides some process from the user of different reasons. Finding out what process are hidden and ascertaining their nature can potentially help to speed the system up, or reveal some an infection by a virus.

Processes

The Window Operating System runs by maintaining a number of processes that run in the background at all time. These processes may or may not be viewable to the user by default. This is often a secure and if it visible it is likely that the system could become unstable if the user were to disable it. Other processes run in the Task Manager when the user initiates a program or service that is not already running.

Hidden Processes

Hidden processes are usually hidden for a reason. There are some processes that run the speakers like "audiodg.exe". If you happen the shut of this or kill it, then the speakers won’t work. Always be careful what you do, but you may ask. Why would we learn to work with hidden processes? Well to put it in simple way, not all processes are necessary safe. Many computer virus compromise the system by creating a new process and hiding them from the user. To view all process running, the user need only click within the small box beside the "Show Processes from All Users" entry in Task Manager.

Other Users

Microsoft Windows tracks processes in real time from all users. If, for example, a Windows computer has two profiles simultaneously logged in, the Task Manager will track processes from each user. However, if the active user does not check the "Show Processes from All Users" option, only their own processes will be visible. It may be helpful to know that processes that are relevant only to the user of the second profile may be running in the background. It may be preferable in such a situation to view those processes and shut them down as they could potentially slow the computer.

Hidden Processes

There is a long list of Microsoft processes that can be set to be invisible by default. These include audiodg.exe, crss.exe, dwm.exe, pcmservice.exe, and Isass.exe. However, this list is not exclusive. Keep in mind that closing processes can cause system instability. If the user comes across a hidden process that is using quite a bit of memory, it is a good idea to make use of an Internet search engine to ascertain its nature. It is always inadvisable to kill a process without knowing first what it does.

Improve Your Internet Speed.

Improve Your Internet Speed.

Are you starting to notice that your internet speed is not same as it uses to be? Are you also notice that you not getting the speed that you are paying for? These are some question that we computer tech ask our client when we service their desktop, laptop, and/or notebook. Now I’m going to give you a little tip on improving your internet speed.

Step 1: Calling Your Internet Service Provider (ISP)

This is a simple step, call your ISP to see what speed is your internet connection. If you already know what your speed is, then you can skip this step.

Step 2: Testing your speed

Follow the instruction given.

Step 3: Compare Speed

Now compare speed. If it is some what the same or over, you don’t need to go to the next step. If not? Then continue.

Step 4: Disable or Delete

Now you need to boost your speed, this is where we really start. Disable or Delete and internet add-ons install on your pc or laptop. This includes any toolbars too. Remember to double check what you deleting before deleting it.

Step 5: Scan your computer

Run Anti-virus, Anti-adware, Anti-spyware, and/or Anti-malware scan. If a nasty little bug is found on your computer, they can something slow down your internet speed.

Step 6: Do a Little Cleaning

Run Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter from your System Tools menu. If you are new to this here a little article is posted a few days ago. http://computfixing.blogspot.com/2011/03/basic-on-cleaning-you-computer.html

Step 7: Optimize

Download this free TCP Optimizer: http://www.usershare.net/XionMusic/i8bsowwi7wgm/TCPOptimizer.zip. It was coded from Speed Guide, and it is use to optimize the MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) values, RWIN (Receive Window) values, and broadband related registry keys. Follow the instruction then continue to the next step.

Step 8: Retest

Now that you are finish, retest and compare again to step one and two.

Note:

Remember, depending on what medium and ISP your using, your Internet connection speed can vary. For example, DSL speeds can be negatively affected by distance and the quality of your phone line. Cable speeds can be negatively affected by the quality of the coax and the amount of users sharing the Internet connection with you. In FTTC (Fiber to the Curb) & FTTP (Fiber to the Premise) applications, the quality of the coax/Cat5 network between your computer and the ISP's fiber network, could affect connection speeds.
Make sure you understand how TCP Optimizer software interacts with your computer. Read the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) link.

Basic on cleaning you computer

Basic on cleaning you computer

This is the basic on cleaning up your computer space. In this article you’ll learn the basic on how you will clean your computer.

Step 1: Free Up Some Space

The first simple step is to go to your Start Menu – All Program – Accessories – System tools – Disk Clean Up.  Click on the drive that you to clean and hit ok. Once it finishes scanning, check all that you know that you don’t need. Like Temporary Internet File, and Recycle bin. Click on ok and the yes, and then you’re done.  This will not speed up you computer a lot, unless your temporary file was in the 100’s of megabytes.

Step 2: Disk Defragmenter

As the same way you went with the Disk Clean Up, Click on the disk defragmenter. By doing the disk defragmenter it will take scattered information and organize them, so your computer will spend less time searching for them.

Step3: Search and Delete Spies

If your internet connection is slowing down rapidly, it can also so mean that your computer is full of Spyware and also Malware. So I recommend getting an Anti-spyware and an Anti-malware program.
